Brisbane Legal Community Rallies for LifeFlight at Our 4th Annual Law & Wine Dinner  

On Thursday, 12 September 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting our fourth annual Law & Wine Dinner, bringing together Brisbane’s legal elite, cricket legends, and a celebrated poet – all in support of Queensland’s life-saving helicopter service, LifeFlight. Thanks to the generosity of our 270 guests, we raised an incredible $38,400 to help sustain this vital service. 

This event is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a testament to the camaraderie and philanthropy within our legal community. We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support we’ve received as we’ve established ourselves in Brisbane, and this event highlights the strength of our collective commitment to making a difference. 

Held at the W Hotel, the evening featured a three-course meal expertly paired with premium wines from Sanguine Estate Wines. Winemaker Mark Hunter captivated guests with his insights into the evening’s selections, while journalist and MC Elizabeth Tilley guided us through a night of celebration and giving. Special guest appearances by cricket icons Andrew “Bic” Bichel, Darren “Boof” Lehmann, Ian “Heals” Healy, and renowned poet Rupert McCall added a touch of star power to the festivities. 

The night’s fundraising efforts were driven by an exciting live auction, offering exclusive experiences that inspired spirited bidding. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our auctioneer Sam Devlin and all our sponsors, including Brisbane Capital, QWando, Integrity Medico-Legal, Vincents, Bulls Masters, Verify Medico Legal Solutions, and Brisbane City Jaguar Land Rover, whose generosity made this event possible. 

We were thrilled by a surprise donation from Allan Graham of Suncorp Stadium and deeply appreciative of cricket legend Allan Border’s commitment to signing wine bottles purchased during the auction. Your support made all the difference – thank you, AB!
