Pouring for a Purpose 2025

The inaugural Pouring for a Purpose wine dinner took place on Wednesday 16th July at Ochre Restaurant in Cairns. Over 70 guests attended this exclusive event which was not only to raise funds for the Far North Queensland Youth Assistance Fund, but also to celebrate TSP’s third year serving the community in Cairns and the greater North Queensland region.

Guests enjoyed a three-course meal paired with premium wines selected by wine expert Jane Ferrari, with highlights of the event including the appearance of the Melbourne Cup and a Q&A with racing royalty, Greg Miles. Terry Newman OAM, previous Honorary Solicitor and Secretary and now a patron of FNQYAF, spoke to guests about the important work that the organisation does, and emphasised the importance of investing in youth and the future of the region.

An amazing $14,000 was raised for the FNQYAF organisation, with funds being bolstered by a lively auction and raffle draw. FNQYAF was established to provide financial assistance to disadvantaged children and youth in Far North Queensland. Every cent raised at the Pouring for a Purpose event will go towards helping young people in the region pursue higher education, sporting achievements and advancing cultural ambitions.
