On Thursday 12 March, 200 of the Sunshine Coast legal fraternity joined us at the sixth annual SCLS Wine Dinner at the new waterfront venue upstairs at The Wharf, Mooloolaba. $50,770 was raised in fundraising efforts from the evening, all of which goes directly to the Suncoast Community Legal Service (SCLS) and their work in ensuring access to justice for the most vulnerable in the local community. An incredible effort!
Guests enjoyed a three-course meal complemented by thoughtfully paired wines by winemaker Lisa Ioannitis from award-winning Mayfield Vineyard, Orange NSW.
We were honoured to be joined by The Honourable Deb Frecklington MP, The Honourable Dan Purdie MP, and Marla Edwards, CEO of SCLS, for a powerful panel discussion highlighting SCLS’s critical role in supporting vulnerable members of our community, particularly those impacted by domestic violence. Every dollar raised on the night goes directly towards furthering this important mission.

Suncoast Community Legal Service
The Suncoast Community Legal Service was founded in 1984. Their mission at SCLS has always been to ensure adequate and meaningful access to justice for vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our community. As an independent community organisation, SCLS serves as a first point of contact for free advice and referral services and rely on the support and generosity of Sunshine Coast lawyers, volunteers and the public.
