Award-winning compensation law firm Travis Schultz & Partners (TSP) has officially opened its doors in Innisfail, bringing greater access to expert legal advice and fair representation to residents across Far North Queensland.
The expansion marks a significant milestone for TSP, which has earned a strong reputation in Cairns and beyond for its legal expertise, local representation, fair fee philosophy, and deep commitment to community service. The new Innisfail office occupies the former premises of Kahler Lawyers, a longstanding local firm known for its dedication to justice. Following the appointment of Chris Kahler to the judiciary, he entrusted his valued clients to Partner Beth Rolton, ensuring continuity of care and legal expertise for the region. Now co-located with Marino Lawyers, the office is evolving into a legal hub for Innisfail, offering residents a broader range of legal services under one roof.
The Innisfail office will be serviced by Partner Beth Rolton and Associate Kylie Walmsley, experienced compensation lawyers who live in Far North Queensland and are already supporting many clients in the region. Both lawyers bring deep knowledge of the challenges facing regional Queenslanders, including the high incidence of road accidents often linked to poor road conditions. TSP’s expansion into Innisfail is a direct response to this growing need for accessible, expert legal support for those affected by road trauma, as well as other injury and accident claims.
The office will be led by Beth Rolton, a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law, with Kylie Walmsley, recently recognised in the prestigious Doyle’s Guide Queensland as a Rising Star in Injury & Compensation Law (2025). Both lawyers are long-time Far North Queensland locals who understand the unique challenges faced by regional communities – from limited access to legal services to the high incidence of road trauma linked to poor infrastructure.
“Our expansion into Innisfail is about more than just opening a new office,” says Ms Rolton. “It’s about standing up for locals, ensuring they have access to high-quality legal support without needing to travel long distances. We’re proud to build on the legacy of Kahler Lawyers and continue serving this community with compassion and expertise.”
With long-standing connections in the area, Ms Walmsley is looking forward to supporting clients in the new office space. “Working in Innisfail and the surrounding areas feels like coming back to my roots,” she says. “In a small community, helping others is just what you do. We’re here to ensure access to justice for those who need it most – whether it is after a motor vehicle accident, a workplace injury, or any other personal injury matter – in a just and affordable way.”
The new office is now open and accepting appointments.
