Leading compensation law firm, Travis Schultz & Partners (TSP), continues to grow from strength to strength with the appointment of a new lawyer to their award-winning team, Libby Thomas.

Managing Partner, Travis Schultz, said the firm was proud to offer Mrs Thomas her first official position as a lawyer in the industry.

“Libby is new to the legal industry and exudes an enthusiasm and passion for helping people that makes her a perfect fit for TSP,” Mr Schultz said.

“Libby has transitioned to law from a nursing career, making her no stranger to working with people when they are faced with adversity. Her compassion and ability to make those around her feel at ease will no doubt serve her well in her legal career,” he said.

Mrs Thomas said she feels fortunate to be able to continue helping people from a new perspective as she embarks on her legal career.

“During my time in nursing I worked predominately with pain medicine and cared for many patients with personal injury claims, so I have had an inside look at the process from a medical perspective,” Mrs Thomas said.

“I feel this experience has given me a unique perspective on what people go through during a personal injury claim, and I believe this will be of benefit to clients as I help them negotiate this process as their lawyer,” she said.

Mrs Thomas said she was attracted to TSP because of the firm’s commitment to making a positive difference to the lives of clients.

“I am very empathetic and caring in nature and I admire that the team at TSP are guided by the values of fairness, respect and compassion,” Mrs Thomas said.

“I am also inspired by the number of local causes the firm passionately supports and I look forward to doing my part in giving back to our community and doing what I can to improve the lives of those less fortunate,” she said.

Travis Schultz & Partners was officially launched on the Sunshine Coast in April 2018 with just two lawyers and three support staff.

Mr Schultz said he was proud of the calibre of professionals the firm has cultivated in its short history.

“Since we opened our doors three years ago, the firm has grown to more than 30 in the team and has established a solid reputation in the community for providing cutting edge expertise, without the price tag,” Mr Schultz said.

“I believe we have a winning combination of experienced lawyers and fresh, enthusiastic professionals like Libby, which equate to a valuable offering for our clients,” he said.

Mrs Thomas graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2018. She commenced with TSP in August 2021.
