Award-winning law firm Travis Schultz & Partners (TSP) continues its strategic growth across Queensland with the recent appointment of Accredited Specialist Nickelle Morris as Special Counsel at their Gold Coast office. With over two decades of experience in personal injury law, Ms. Morris brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and a deep passion for advocating for her clients’ rights.
Ms. Morris, who joined the profession in 1998, is highly regarded for her extensive experience in representing clients who have suffered catastrophic injuries or lost loved ones. Her deep understanding of the medical, legal, and financial implications of such cases, along with her expertise in navigating the National Injury Insurance Scheme (NIIS) in Queensland and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), makes her a valuable addition to the TSP team.
“Being a personal injury lawyer is both rewarding and humbling. It’s an honor to help people during some of the most challenging times in their lives, when their world has been turned upside down by an injury,” Ms. Morris said. “My role involves not just navigating the legal system, but also ensuring that my clients receive the right support and compensation to aid in their recovery and rehabilitation. It’s about making a positive impact on their lives.”
With the addition of Ms. Morris, TSP now boasts a team of 22 lawyers across Queensland, including six Accredited Specialists—the highest number among independent firms in the state.
“Nickelle is a perfect fit for our firm, both in terms of her exceptional experience and her alignment with our values,” said Managing Partner Travis Schultz. “Her appointment reflects our commitment to building a team of highly qualified experts who share our vision of a fairer approach to personal injury law.”
Ms. Morris has received numerous accolades throughout her distinguished career, including the Highest Achiever Award when she became an Accredited Specialist in 2022. She was also a finalist for Special Counsel of the Year at the Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards in 2019 and completed the Queensland Law Society’s Practice Management Course in 2017.
Beyond her legal practice, Ms. Morris is an active member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance (ALA), where she serves on the Regional and Rural and NIIS/CTP subcommittees. She is also a member of the Gold Coast District Law Association (GCDLA) and the Women Lawyers Association Queensland (WLAQ).
Ms. Morris expressed her enthusiasm for joining TSP, highlighting the firm’s shared commitment to client-centered service. “I’m passionate about providing dedicated, empathetic, and expert legal services that prioritize the client’s well-being and rehabilitation. At TSP, we ensure that the client receives the lion’s share of their compensation, which aligns perfectly with my values.”
