Social justice activity is an integral part of operations at Travis Schultz Law. We are dedicated to making a positive difference for the people and causes in our region and beyond.

Our team are active participants in a number of community endeavours and support local charities and initiatives from making minor contributions to groups saving orangutans in Asia, to minimising use of plastic, launching large scale charity events like the Wishlist Spring Racing Gala and supporting animal refuge charities and many other worthy initiatives.

Some of the key community organisations and initiatives Travis and the team support are outlined below.

Boards & giving back to the profession

Travis was recently appointed as Councillor of the Queensland Law Society and assumed this Board role from 1 January 2018. He is the Chair of the QLS Governance Committee and serves on the Professional Conduct Committee, Committee of Management and Executive Committee. He also serves the community through his role as Deputy Chair of the Board of Matthew Flinders Anglican College, Chairman of the Matthew Flinders Foundation. As a Director of the Lifeflight Foundation and as a Board Member of the Sunshine Coast Turf Club. Travis remains active with the Australian Lawyer’s Alliance and is a regular presenter at conferences for a range of organisations including the Australian Lawyer’s Alliance, the National Australian Lawyer’s Alliance, the Queensland Law Society, Lexus Nexus and others. Working with the Suncoast Community Legal Service over the years has been deeply rewarding for Travis too. He has volunteered to give free advice through the Centres for many years and was honoured when they made him a life member after serving as a volunteer solicitor and working on the committee for over a decade.
