In response to the increasing demand for specialised personal injury legal services on the Gold Coast, we have strengthened our presence in the region by opening a new office in Southport. This expansion is not just about expanding our Gold Coast operations; it is about deepening our commitment to the communities we serve and ensuring that we are accessible to those who need our expertise the most.
The Gold Coast is a rapidly growing area, with surges in industries like construction, health, and retail. Unfortunately, with growth comes an increase in workplace and road accidents, and the complexities of insurance schemes mean that more people are seeking specialised legal assistance. Our decision to enhance our local presence is driven by the needs of this community and our dedication to delivering industry-leading expertise with a fee structure that remains significantly lower than that of corporate firms.
We are also thrilled to welcome Nickelle Morris as Special Counsel at our Gold Coast office. Nickelle is a highly respected Accredited Specialist with over two decades of experience in personal injury law. Her expertise in handling complex cases, including those involving catastrophic injuries, and her deep understanding of the National Injury Insurance Scheme (NIIS) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), make her an invaluable addition to our team.
Nickelle’s alignment with our firm’s values, particularly our focus on client-centered service and fairness, ensures that we continue to offer a distinctive legal service that prioritises quality outcomes. Her accolades, including the Highest Achiever Award for Accredited Specialists in 2022 and her role as a finalist for Special Counsel of the Year at the Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards in 2019, speak to her exceptional capabilities and dedication to her clients.
With Nickelle joining our team, we now have 22 lawyers across Queensland, including six Accredited Specialists – the highest number among independent firms in the state. I’m exceptionally proud of our team as this growth is a testament to our unwavering commitment to building a team of highly qualified experts who share our vision of a fairer approach to personal injury law.
Our new office in Southport, located at 289 Ferry Road, is well-positioned to serve the community with easy access and convenient parking. This office will cover all areas of compensation law, including workers’ compensation, public liability, and motor vehicle Compulsory Third-Party claims.
