I am pleased to announce that Kylie Walmsley has joined Partner and Office Leader, Beth Rolton, in our Cairns office as an Associate lawyer.

Kylie brings six years of personal injuries experience, specialising in workplace and motor vehicle injuries, public liability and disability claims. Her career also includes experience in medical negligence cases and advocacy for clients affected by poorly regulated cosmetic procedures. She has distinguished herself as one of Queensland’s youngest personal injury lawyers to run a Supreme Court trial in a WorkCover claim – at 23, she successfully instructed Counsel in the case of Longbottom v L & R Collins [2021] QSC 242.

Having grown up in North Queensland, Kylie understands the unique challenges faced by injured workers in the region and is keen to use her knowledge and experience to help the local community.

“As a local myself, I know how difficult it can be to navigate the claims process when you’re based outside of a major city and have reduced access to specialists and services,” she says. “I’m excited to use my experience to help people in the region secure the right medical care and financial support to improve long-term outcomes.”

“TSP stands apart because it genuinely prioritises the best possible outcomes for people, rather than treating cases as transactions. I wanted to be part of a team with a strong reputation for excellence that truly cares about the people they represent.”

Kylie’s appointment reinforces our ongoing commitment to ensuring regional communities have access to expert and fair legal representation.
