Andrew Evans

Andrew Evans

Lawyer

Having spent over seven years as a Soldier in the Australian army, Andrew’s later start in law has been advantageous in sharing a unique mix of skills and life experience to benefit his valued clients.

Andrew joined our Cairns team as a newly admitted lawyer in 2023.  Prior to joining TSP, Andrew worked at the Public Prosecutions Office for two years, assisting on criminal matters in both the Supreme and District Courts.

Andrew also kept busy working at the Cape York Land Council while completing his law degree. In this role, he worked as part of the legal team representing local Traditional Owners in their land reform negotiations with the Queensland State Government.

Andrew has settled into his role as a Lawyer with energy and feels privileged to be in such a position, guiding and advising people during a very challenging time in their lives.

“I have seen first-hand the long-term effects that physical and psychological injuries can have on people. While all injuries can impact people in different ways, they all need someone they can trust to support them through the process of their recovery – as well as the process of the claim itself – which can be significantly stressful”.

Andrew has an incredibly strong work ethic and naturally solid people skills developed from the varied roles he has undertaken in his career. He has also been the President of Inter Alia Law Association in 2020 and on the FNQLA committee.

Andrew’s out of work interests are as varied as his work experience – ask him about professional athletes (as a lover of biographies and a brush with soccer fame himself), military history, Formula 1, the UFC, and the guitar. Even though you can expect nothing but professionalism from Andrew, it should be noted that he is a fanatical supporter of Liverpool FC. Therefore, if you are a Manchester United supporter, it is probably best to keep that fact to yourself!
