We are continuing on our mission to harness the next generation of industry-leading compensation lawyers, with the recent appointment of lawyer, Emmi Airaksinen , originally from Finland.
Emmi brings to the team seven years of legal experience, having graduated and worked as an employment and contract lawyer in her home country, before making the move to Australia in 2018 to complete her Australian Bachelor of Laws at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Emmi says she loves being able to make a difference in people’s lives, and working in the legal industry allows her to do that.
In Finland, Emmi was managing legal disputes in the workplace, but now she looks forward to helping people who have been injured through no fault of their own and ensuring they get the compensation they deserve.
With a passion for helping people and an unwavering dedication to match, it was clear to us that Emmi would be a perfect fit for our award-winning firm.
We are proud to offer Emmi her first official position as a lawyer in Australia. Having attained a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws in Finland and a Bachelor of Laws in Australia, we are confident Emmi is not afraid of a challenge and will do what it takes to achieve the best outcomes for her clients.
In addition to her compassion, Emmi has said it was the firm’s values which drew her in — in particular offering cutting-edge expertise, without the price tag. When a person is injured, they are at their most vulnerable and Emmi believes everyone deserves a lawyer who can provide an excellent service and expertise at a fair cost.
Emmi loves that the TSP culture and success hinges on putting people before profits, making sure claimants feel not only respected and listened to, but also go home with the lion’s share of their settlement. Emmi said she feels fortunate to be surrounded by some of the best minds in the business, with TSP having a large stable of six Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialists in Personal Injury Law, making it one of the most accredited teams in the state. Compensation law is very complex and time and time again the TSP team achieve incredible outcomes for their clients, Emmi shares that she is looking forward to doing the same as she helps people get through quite possibly the most difficult experience of their life.
Emmi is also looking forward to giving back to our local community, by volunteering at the Suncoast Community Legal Service in the near future.
